SUMMARY:
[This presentation is a natural extension, or "part II" to "Mankind Set Apart."]
Did God create the races? What is ethnicity, and is it a biblical idea? When God looks at humans, what distinctions really matter to Him?
This presentation looks at the various ways in which persons tend to divide and classify mankind, and exposes unbiblical and superficial ways of doing so. Attendees will get an understanding of what ethnicity is, how it arose, and God's purpose for "people groups" in the world today. The Babel account provides the basis for understanding the actions of God in bringing humankind's diversity.
The semi-technical version of this presentation also helps bring an understanding of the genetic mechanisms that contribute in part to ethnic divisions.
