SUMMARY:
A tension exists between the idyllic natural world and the one in which we actually live. Biological suffering, death, and extinction, disease, and pestilence, though prevalent, are regarded intuitively as enemies. This is because the creation, though splendid, is subject to the consequences of the Fall and subsequent events.
For those celebrating the creation as God's handiwork, distinctions should be drawn between the original, perfect Creation and the present creation. Such distinctions are made in this presentation by ascertaining some biological effects of the Fall, the Great Flood, and Babel.
In particular, emphasis will be made concerning the nature of ecological and biological distribution (ecosystems, populations, and speciation), explaining how these have changed from a "mosaic" expression to a "clustered" expression.
